Belagavi: MLA Abhay Patil has succeeded in canceling the order of shifting deputy director office of the tourism department from Belagavi to Dakshin Kannada district.
The people of Belagavi district had been hugely disappointed due to the shifting of the government offices to other districts from Belagavi one by one. Amid this, the orders about shifting of the tourism department office too had caused for the public anger.
Considering the public perception and seriousness of the matter, MLA Abhay Patil had written a letter to the district in-charge minister Jagadish Shettar on May 15th. Today he met tourism minister CT Ravi in Bengaluru and succeeded in canceling of order.
A press release of the MLA says since the tourism minister withdrew his order, the tourism department office will continue in Belagavi. The efforts of MLA Abhay Patil to cancel the orders are being lauded by the public.
