Withdraw cases lodged against kar sevaks in Babri incident- Pejawar seer

Belagavi:Vishwesha Tirth Swamiji of Udupi Pejawar Mutt, said he endorses the demand of Hindi organisations seeking withdrawal of criminal cases lodged against the Kar Sevaks including LK Advani in connection to the demolition of Babri Masjid incident in 1992.

Speaking to the media persons here on Wednesday, seer opined that fight for the Ram Janmabhumi was a movement. It was like a freedom movement. Indeed, lodging cases itself was wrong and they should be withdrawn, he said.

Commenting on the Ayodhya verdict, Pejawar seer lauded the supreme court for giving the historical judgement which disappoints none. Court has given Ram Janmabhumi to Hindus while 5 acres land for Muslims to construct mosque. Large number of Muslims accepted the verdict. Following the court judgement inter-faith conferences are being held all over the country to develop peace and harmony among both communities. ” I attended many such conferences”, seer told.

Seer said the dispute has been resolved amicably by the highest court. Hence, it’s a time to develop social harmony. “My opinion is that Hindus should help Muslims in building mosque and Muslims to build Ram temple in Ayodhya”. Meanwhile, Pejawar seer scrapped the rumours that BJP will create similar situation in Kashi and Mathura in the coming future. He said already respective state governments have taken a lot of development works at both pilgrimages and there is no scope for communal disturbance.
