Mangaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah said the police should register a suo-motto complaint against the union minister of state for railways Suresh Angadi for provoking the violence.
Speaking to the media persons on Monday at Mangaluru After meeting the family members of two youths died in police firing recently, Siddaramaiah said Suresh Angadi is unfit to continue in a ministerial post even for a second.
His comments came in the backdrop of Angadi’s recent statements. Angadi stated that ‘protestors damaging public properties should shoot at sight’. He also stated that ‘guns of policemen are kept for worshipping’.
Siddaramaiah claimed there was no need for police firing and imposing Section 144 to manage law and order. He said the issue will be raised with all force by the opposition in the legislature session.
