Horatti says centre shouldn’t make injustice to Karnataka in Mahadayi issue

Belagavi : Basavaraj Horatti, member of the legislative council said the people of Karnataka have given elected 25 BJP MPs, thus centre should not make injustice with the state in Mahadayi issue.

Speaking to the media persons at Belagavi on Saturday, Horatti said state and central governments should stop giving excuses. “They should clarify that if the issue is resolved or not. Based on that reply, we will take the next course of action”, he said.

He said already Karnataka has spent Rs 200 crores on the project. Goa is bringing hurdles in the implementation of the project. It is the issue of drinking water of 16 taluks in four districts. “We are holding meetings in all four districts with representatives of different organizations to discuss the next course of action. We are getting support from everywhere”, MLC Horatti stated.

Horatti said they don’t want to criticize any government or political party as everybody has done politics into it. Now, it’s a time everybody to come under single window forgetting the past to get pass the gazette notification of the Mahadayi Tribunal order, he clarified.
